Graveyard Keeper 2 Sauna: Location, Access and the Steamed Up Buff

Buildings & Bonuses Last reviewed: Sep 2026

Quick answer

The sauna is a pre-order bonus building, not something you research or craft. It sits to the left of your base, on the far side of the broken bridge, so you can only use it after that bridge is repaired.[1][2] Using it gives the Steamed Up buff for 60 minutes: most prepared food gives 10% more energy while it lasts.[3]

What the pre-order bonus contains

Item What it is How to access it
Personal sauna A building outside the Keeper's house Cross the repaired bridge to the left of the base
Platform outfit Vapor Clothes (Steam), X-Books Clothes (Xbox), Joy Station Clothes (PlayStation), Big N Clothes (Nintendo) Unlock the Suit Up! technology and build a Dresser

The Nintendo eShop lists the bonus as a separate pre-order DLC with exactly two parts: the sauna and an exclusive outfit.[2] The developer FAQ on Steam gives the same location for the sauna and says the outfit comes from the Suit Up! technology plus a Dresser.[1] Platform outfit names are taken from the Wikily database.[3]

How to reach the sauna

  1. Repair the bridge left of your garden. This is the bridge that leads toward the vineyard and brewery area.[4]
  2. Bring Polished Bronze. The bridge repair uses 1 Polished Bronze, which needs the Bronze Polishing technology and a Woodworking Workbench with a Tool Rack. See the Polished Bronze guide for the full chain.[5]
  3. Walk over and interact with the sauna. You do not need to build it; it is already placed if your copy has the pre-order content.[1]

What Steamed Up actually does

According to the Wikily item data, Steamed Up lasts 60 minutes and raises the energy you get from cooked dishes, cheese, bread and milk jugs by 10% (rounded to whole numbers). Raw produce, juices, chocolate and honey are not affected.[3]

The same source notes a catch: once the buff ends, those foods give 10% less energy until your next sauna visit.[3]

Food example Normal With Steamed Up After the buff expires
Burger 80 energy 88 energy 72 energy

What this means in practice: the sauna only pays off if you eat most of your prepared meals inside the 60-minute window. If you visit once and then eat burgers all day, you end up behind. A simple routine is to visit the sauna right before a long crafting session and eat during it, or to lean on raw or unaffected foods (such as chocolate) when the buff has run out. This is a planning suggestion based on the numbers above, not a separate game rule.

Common problems

  • "I pre-ordered but there is no sauna." First check whether the bridge is repaired; the sauna is on the other side.[1] On console, the bonus is delivered as its own DLC item, so make sure it is downloaded and installed for your platform.[2]
  • "My food suddenly gives less energy." That is the post-buff penalty described above, not a bug.[3]
  • "Where is my outfit?" The outfit does not appear in your inventory. Research Suit Up! and build a Dresser.[1]
