Quick answer
You get Green Scrolls by repairing residential houses in the Town (the ruined ones marked with a blue wooden signpost). Bigger buildings give more: a Block gives 25, a Large House 10.[1][2] Hand them to Linda at the Dockside Club in the Port on Lust day, the only day she takes them. She uses them to bring in new residents, which raises your Likes cap and Town quality.[1][3]

Per-building amounts match between Wikily and AllThingsHow; the plot counts and the 180 total are from AllThingsHow.[2][1] Both sources list only these residential repairs as scroll sources, so do not expect scrolls from rebuilding shops.
Where the scrolls are: the four Blocks hold 100 of the 180 scrolls and the seven Large Houses another 70, so almost all of your Likes growth from this loop comes from the big buildings. Check each repair's kit list in game before committing, since the sources do not break down kit counts per building.
What a repair costs
Repairs use prefabricated kits rather than raw materials:[1]
- Building Kit I and Wooden Kit I: crafted at an Assembly Bench or Woodworking Workbench.
- Iron Kit I: crafted at a smelting station. You will need Iron Ingots; see where to find iron.
Once you have the kits, the construction itself takes no time and no energy.[1]
Turning them in to Linda
- Unlock Linda's requests. Lust-day turn-ins start with her first "New people?" request, from the Safe Harbor part of the story onward.[3]
- Wait for Lust day on the six-day calendar. On other days she will not take scrolls.[1][3]
- Go to the Dockside Club in the Port and talk to Linda.[1]
- Pick answers. Each answer costs 1, 3, 5 or 10 scrolls.[2]
Each scroll turned in adds 1 Town quality and lifts your maximum Likes.[1] More Likes matters beyond the Town: sermon attendance is capped by the lower of Church quality and available Likes, so this loop indirectly raises the Faith you earn.[4] See how to get Faith.
Good to know
- Green Scrolls are quest items: they stack to 999, fit in the Universal bag and Big universal bag, cannot be destroyed, and no trader buys them.[2]
- They do not come from the Astrologer. Players on the Steam forum who thought so were corrected: the scroll had come from a house repair.[5]
